Reaching Out to the World

TNNA is committed to growing the industry by reaching out to those who already enjoy the fiber arts, and by inspiring others to become part of the needlearts community.

In an effort to raise awareness and involvement, TNNA has initiated a variety of exciting outreach programs.  Members from all categories and product segments come together to share the needlearts with the world . . .
and to have a great time!

Maker Faire

World Maker Faire New YorkWorld Maker Faire New York is September 25th and 26th, 2010 . . . You won't want to miss this one!

TNNA's Needlearts Stitch Zone will be at the New York Hall of Science for the upcoming World Maker Faire.  Following on the heels of a great even in Detroit, we're looking forward to teaching even more new "makers" how to knit, crochet, cross-stitch and needlepoint.

Maker Faire DetroitMaker Faire is the biggest DIY event in the country.  In 2009, TNNA taught the needlearts to nearly 1000 enthusiastic "makers" at TNNA's Stitch Zone in the Bay Area.  In 2010, TNNA's Needlearts Stitch Zone returned to Califronia – winning two Editors' Choice Blue Ribbons.

TNNA's Needlearts Stitch Zone was a big hit at the Detroit Maker Faire (July 31st and August 1st).  Thanks to our wonderful crew of volunteers, we taught more than 500 new stitchers needlepoint, cross-stitch, knitting and crochet.
