Kits Donated in 2019:
About the Kits
Made possible with the proceeds from Spinzilla, TNNA Foundation has purchased materials for these kits to ship to schools and organizations that wish to promote needlearts. Striving towards the foundation’s mission to foster curiosity, creativity and a feeling of achievement through the teaching of needlearts, these kits will get children involved in simple weaving and spinning.
The weaving education kit comes with a Wee Weaver measuring 4” x 4 ½” with a work space area of 3 ¾” x 3 ½”. The spacing is 4 ends per inch (epi) so a small coaster can be created quickly using bulking yarn. The kit comes with color photo instructions, wood tapestry needle, small plastic tapestry needle, a wee (2”) comb, pick up stick and yarn for one wee coaster. The instructions and cute accessories demonstrate how to make a wee coaster with fringe and without fringe. This little kit is an ideal way to learn the very basics of weaving in less than two hours.
